Mothers Day History- Mothers Day Greetings
Friday, May 2, 2008
Mothers day 2008 is coming close and I was curious enough to know the origin of Mothers Day. Thought of sharing with all. Mothers Day in the United States is observed on the second Sunday of the month of May. Mothers Day 2008 is on May 11. It was Anna Marie Jarvis, who after her mothers death on May 9, 1905, devoted her life to establish Mothers Day as a national and international holiday. Presently, Mothers Day is a major event in United States, and also very much celebrated outside the States. So, with mothers day 2008 knocking at the door, here are some Mothers Day cards for you to send your mom and also other Mothers you admire.

Motherhood - Noblest Profession
Thursday, April 24, 2008
"The noblest calling in the world is that of mother. True motherhood is the most beautiful of all arts, the greatest of all professions. She who can paint a masterpiece or who can write a book that will influence millions deserves the plaudits and admiration of mankind; but she who rears successfully a family of healthy, beautiful sons and daughters whose immortal souls will be exerting an influence throughout the ages long after painting shall have faded, and books and statues shall have been destroyed, deserves the highest honor that man can give."
~ David O. McKay

Motherhood is a full time profession and undoubtedly the most rewarding one. You might not draw a salary after every month is over for rearing your kid, but a mother's reward is the content and peace at heart which only she receives and only she can feel. I have seen mothers who give up their career for their kids but always have been dissatisfied and wanted to go back to their work. One of them is my neighbor, Daniella who gave up her career (for her son) as an architect and cribs everyday for the same. I would like to tell mothers like Daniella , (if they are reading my post) that pleeeease, for God's sake be assured that you are doing a better job of building a character , making human minds and human beings. Please don't crib about your past jobs. One day you shall realize what you put in everyday in your kids will make the person that he is. So please take the job of a mother seriously and passionately. Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers. If you know a Mother, appreciate her for her motherhood through these mothers day cards below.

The Essence of motherhood-Mothers day ecards
Thursday, March 27, 2008
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.~Tenneva Jordan.

The moment a child is born, a mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman in her existed, but the mother, was still not born. A mother is something absolutely new. I have not yet been blessed with motherhood, myself. But, I am sure, the new mother feels like a new journey has begun for her. Even after a part of her(the baby) is detached from her being, she feel complete. It must be a magical experience to hold the baby for the first time and admire at one's own creation. I can imagine the ecstasy of the moment. May God allow me to have this experience someday. I cannot think of opting not to have a baby all my life, like Amanda. Amanda, if you are reading this, I suggest, please change your plans. As Mothers day approaches, let's cherish these eternal feelings. Have a look at these free mother's day greeting cards. I remember sending these to Mom on mothers day 2007, and she was so happy. I love her so much.
